I don’t think anyone in the history of the use of “fuck off” has meant it to mean “have sex”.

I love it. In this world the lows are so low, when someone notices something about you enough to say something nice like that then it becomes something we want to hold on to forever.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What is the worst thing to have only available via subscription? And what isn't yet, but would be?
17·2 days agoThis seems like a ridiculously loose use of the word subscription.
Would you say you subscribe to 700km worth of fuel in your car, subscribe to light bulbs in your house, subscribe to your pencil that is getting slowly worn down with each use?

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's the psychology of people who slam their front doors in apartments everytime they go in or out?
2·10 days agoApartment doors are often fire rated, so they may be big and heavy. This, and other factors, can result in the door needing to be pushed hard to close easily.
This is my experience in the apartment I used to live. I eventually shaved the sides of the door so it would close without needing as much force too.

5·10 days agoYeah. I must have been about 13 sitting around playing my brothers gameboy. Had a real good time with it, but never finished it.
I’ve never gone back to it, yet whenever I put a collection of roms together I always put this one in there, thinking I’ll finally play it again.

Patient Gamers@sh.itjust.works•steam vs gog, which game store to buy from?
5·13 days agoI love gog for being able to download and own the game. I have about 10x more games there than steam. It’s a bit more hassle integrating them with the steam deck than steam is though.

Patient Gamers@sh.itjust.works•Cyberpunk 2077: A Beautiful Night City but oh what it could have been.
2·22 days agoI haven’t played it yet. But I do own it on gog.
Every few years I get stuck into Shadowrun on sega mega drive. It’s an open world cyberpunk rpg. You can choose to start as samurai, decker or shaman. You can follow the plot or just do whatever. You can choose to just spend all your time in the matrix. You can go to different “Johnsons” and do any number of randomly generated runs against various corporations.
But in the end your only real choice that affects the gameplay ends up whether you use magic or guns. Even if you take a shaman, you can hire a runner to join you so you can still sit in the matrix all day. The story doesn’t care which class you picked. It always turns out the same.
But it remains one of my favourite and most played games of all time.
Do you think Cyberpunk could give me that in a modern game?

2·28 days agoI have. But that isn’t what you said. You said parents aren’t using rechargeable batteries in their kids toys. And I am. I haven’t bought a disposable battery in years.
I think you’re an abrasive person. That’s all.

Should it be like saying to my partner “let’s go fuck off”, or like when your mate and his girlfriend are leaving the pub and you say “see you guys, fuck off”
I don’t like either of those to be honest.
