Venom franchise is better without this movie in it.
Two episode premiere would have helped answer some questions, imo. I don’t why, HBO gave us a single episode premiere, with lot of exposition and introduction and then some action in episode 2, instead of waiting a whole week for ep2.

The animation is as gorgeous as ever, maybe even better than season 1.
The animation is good but lacks the fluidity of Season 1.
The writing and pacing was kind of messy, though
My biggest issue are the fight scenes in ACT 1, writers know they need the characters to survive till the end and they keep pulling punches, same happened in the ACT 3 fight.

Smeech went a bit soft on JInx, and by being not that important to the storyline got pounded by Sevika and Jinx.
So, Marvel’s take on the 2016 version, with a super powerful being threatening humanity. They generally do well with those movies, except Secret Invasion.
