I hope you’re right. It doesn’t help that I gamed out that asshole getting a third term about a month ago, and one of the court decisions needed for my theory to work came to pass this past week (with Justice Brown-Jackson explicitly calling out the loophole that’s needed).
I just can’t help but thinking that keeping his ass out of jail may be one of the few things he’d spend this money on.

I struggle with that. On the one hand, exactly what you’re saying - they leave and evil takes their place. Flip side is that staying lends credibility to what they’re going to do either way. Shitty options all around.
