There are probably some people that go too far, but that is true in any community. There are also people with a very legitimate threat model, for example if they are from insert your favourite dictatorship here and they have insert opinion against said regime
They likely have their own homegrown alternatives, you think Xi the Poo would allow such corruption of his people by giving them access to corrupting capitalist software such as non approved encrypted messaging services?

A Russian and an American are speaking, when the American says:
-America is a lot more free than Russia
The Russian replies:
-Why do you say so?
The American says:
-Right now, if I wanted, I could go down to Washington DC, enter the White House, go down to the Oval Office, and tell the president of the United States himself that I think he is an idiot, and I’d suffer no consequences
The Russian replies:
-Oh yeah? Right now I could go down to Moscow, go to the Red Square, enter the Kremlin, go in front of Putin, and tell him face to face that I think the President of the United States is an idiot
Anyone knows if they’ll have everything upstreamed in the kernel?
Edit: also, if they’ll go through the trouble of getting Google to consider some form of android as verified per the Google play integrity API? (Pls work with the graphene folks)
6·6 months agoTo make justice to the victims of crimes by punishing the perpetrators without accidentally punishing the innocent. Mine currently fails at both due to the long times it takes to judge people, meaning guilty people don’t get properly punished and the innocent get ounished with a long court battle that takes up much of their lives
