11·9 days agoNo one mentioned Posteo yet. Web interface for mail, calendar, etc has 00s vibes, but as it uses standard protocols you can use any client/app. Costs 1€/month, and more if you like to have more storage or features.

27·10 days agoBis in die späten 1980er Jahre wuchsen Löhne und Renten nahezu im Gleichschritt mit der Pro-Kopf-Produktion – der wirtschaftliche Fortschritt kam also bei der breiten Bevölkerung an.
Hmmm, ob das daran lag, dass man den Klassenfeind im Osten überwunden hatte und nicht länger dafür sorgen musste, dass auch die Arbeitnehmer vom Kapitalismus profitieren?

5·2 months agoTaiwan is a major center for chip manufactoring and development. Being a vital supplier for the U.S., Taiwan was protected by the U.S. as far as possible without openly disagreeing with mainland (communist) China. One could argue that Taiwan’s chip industry has essentially protected the island from being invaded or nuked by mainland China. Without their advantage in chips and implied cover by the U.S. military, Taiwan would be under direct threat by mainland China “unification”.






If AI is so good, why not firing the underperforming sales agents and replacing them with AI instead?
