I have no trust in Google being - at all - interested in developing AOSP. That shift could be seen already back then (almost a decade ago) and has just become worse since.

The hope for an open source community driven platform lies elsewhere. If it’s Ubuntu Touch, Sailfish or something completely different I don’t know - but to get there we need to stop the delusion that an AOSP fork will do. That way we’ll always be tied to whatever Google decides to do.

Yeah GrapheneOS in itself is fine, I just don’t trust the future of AOSP.

Context: Centerpartiet (“The Centre party”) has been rather uniquely targeted by the troll factories (russian / right-wing) here in Sweden since they’re the only non-left party in our parliament saying NO to cooperating/ruling together with our fascist party (“Sverigedemokraterna”). They’re the good economic-right without the authoritarianism and white power stuff.

And yes, it seems the level of hatred was a lot higher for the last woman party leader (Lööf) and now Hatt. In between them there was a male for a while who was mostly anonymous.

I’d say his motivation is a good reason. Not sure what you mean with “aloof” - I get a bit of a vibe that he and his friends might be a bit autistic? If so, you might want to probe whether strip club was just “a thing he knew about” that would be way out of his normal comfort zone or if it’s actually the strip-part that he wants to experience.

I built a $700 Bazzite-based Steambox with some parts used and the Steam Machine seems about par on performance and is both better looking and has additional features so … yeah

While we don’t have the exact same mortgages setup in the EU, it’s not in any way uncommon for our house loans to not be realistically paid down during one’s life time. Yeah, we indeed refer to it as renting from the banks.
